Responsible Gaming

Play Smart

Our Commitment

CQ Nexus is an educational platform. All games are simulations for training purposes. There is no real money exchanged or used in game play. There are no prizes of real-world value. The platform is intended for users 21 and older.

Built in partnership with CEG Dealer School Las Vegas and Casino Quest Las Vegas, our platform exists to help people understand casino games (the math, the procedures, the discipline) at a depth most players never get. That mission only works if the people who use our tools take that knowledge into the real world responsibly.

Whether you're using Nexus to study basic strategy, train as a dealer, or coach others, we want you to leave the platform a sharper, more disciplined player or professional. Not a more reckless one.

Healthy Training Habits

The same discipline that makes a strong player makes for a strong training routine. A few principles we encourage every member to build in:

1

Set a Time Budget

Decide before you start how long your session will run. Use the session tracker to hold yourself to it.

2

Train With Purpose

Every session should have a goal: a strategy to drill, a procedure to learn, a number to hit. Aimless play teaches nothing.

3

Separate Sim From Floor

Practice money is not real money. Strategy that works in simulation still requires bankroll discipline at a real table.

4

Take Breaks

Long uninterrupted sessions degrade decision quality. Step away, reset, and come back sharper.

5

Track Honestly

Use the bankroll tools to log real outcomes truthfully. Self-deception is the first failure mode of a serious player.

6

Know Your Limit

If a real-world session is hitting the edge of what you can afford to lose, stop. The math doesn't care how due you feel.

Recognizing Problem Gambling

Casino games are entertainment and, for some, a profession. They become a problem when control slips. If you recognize these patterns in yourself or someone close to you, treat them seriously:

  • Spending more time or money on real-world gambling than planned, repeatedly
  • Chasing losses with bigger bets to "get back to even"
  • Gambling with money meant for rent, bills, family, or essentials
  • Lying to family, partners, or friends about gambling activity or losses
  • Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when you can't gamble
  • Borrowing money (formally or informally) to keep playing
  • Neglecting work, school, relationships, or health because of gambling
  • Using gambling to escape stress, depression, or other emotional difficulty
  • Being unable to stop or cut back after deciding to

If any of these resonate, you are not alone, and help is available and confidential. The resources below are free.
